Last night Cessnock Cobras U14 boys narrowly went down to Port Hunter.
It was Cessnock’s strongest outing of the season. A real team effort with everyone contributing strongly.
William Drayton led scorers with 13 points, Nic Allan-Ross with 9, Maverick Cameron with 8, Dean Genova-Lewis and Luca Sheridan with 4 each.
Dean Genova-Lewis played his best game of the season. It was terrific to see Dean playing with such confidence.
Guards Luca Sheridan and the returning Nic Allan-Ross worked strongly together.
While the very proud coach would love to make everyone MVP this week, it goes to lead scorer William Drayton. The Defensive Player of the Week goes to steal machine and rebound extraordinaire Nash Clarke.
Next week Cessnock play West Newcastle Rollers.
