When is Miniball?

Miniball games are played every Thursday during Term 4, with games scheduled at 4:10 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., each lasting approximately 40 minutes.

What are the teams?

At the start of the competition, players will be drafted into teams to ensure balanced and competitive matchups. If you’d like to keep friends together, we’ll do our best to accommodate those requests, but it’s crucial to submit them early. To make a request, please email us at competitions@cessnockbasketball.com.au as soon as possible.

What is the difference between Super 8s and Super 10s?

Super 8s (Under 8s) is designed for our younger players, offering 5-on-5 games that help them develop basic basketball skills in an exciting and supportive environment. As they grow older, players move up to Super 10s (Under 10s), where they continue playing 5-on-5 on a full court, allowing them to enhance their abilities and learn more advanced aspects of the game.

What is the difference between Miniball and Aussie Hoops?

Aussie Hoops is an introductory program for children aged 5 to 10, focusing on teaching basic basketball skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. Miniball is the next step, offering game-playing experience for kids 10 and under. It helps them apply their skills in real game situations, transitioning from basic skills to more competitive play. In essence, Aussie Hoops teaches the fundamentals, while Miniball puts those skills into practice.
