Last night Cessnock Cobras U14 Boys took on competition leaders West Newcastle Dumplings.
While Cessnock did go down to the undefeated West Newcastle, they scored more points against West Newcastle than any other team has. Something Cessnock’s young squad can be very proud of.
Maverick Cameron and Dean Genova-Lewis led scorers with 11 a piece, followed by William Drayton with 8 and Nic Allan-Ross with 7.
Maverick and Dean share the MVP award this week. William Drayton was the Defensive All-Star.
Next week, Cessnock take on Newcastle Bobcats in the season’s final game.
